After an incredible week in Budapest that included a quarter-final finish at the WDF Girls World Masters, Olivia rounded off her international trip by competing in the WDF Girls World Championship Qualifier her final event of the week.
Despite feeling under the weather and full of cold, Olivia Heaton once again showed her determination and professionalism on stage. She began strongly in the Top 64, defeating Taylor Field 4–1 before overcoming Saylee Blois 4–2 to reach the Last 16.
In the Top 16, Olivia faced Ceylin Atas, one of the most consistent players in the draw. Although she fought well and produced a 52.32 average, Olivia couldn’t quite find her usual rhythm, eventually losing 4–1 to the Turkish thrower, who went on to reach the semi-finals.
While the result meant she narrowly missed out on qualification for the World Championships, it was another valuable learning experience in her debut season on the WDF circuit. Competing in five tournaments in just a few months and reaching a Major quarter-final — is a remarkable achievement for a player still at the very start of her international career.
Olivia would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to her sponsors, PD Property Reports and Falkon UK, for their continued support and belief. Their backing has made it possible for her to travel, compete internationally, and gain the invaluable experience that will help her continue to progress at the highest level.
